The Three Stripes have updated yet another EQT OG, unveiling the EQT Racing ADV. A reimagining of the EQT Racing from 1993, this release follows in the footsteps of the EQT Support ADV, which completely overhauled the EQT grandaddy in 2016 with contemporary design in mind. Still with me?
This new version of the lightweight runner features a similar shape to the EQT Support ADV, shares the same sole unit and rocks an equally sharp toe box. Coming into its own, the EQT Racing ADV retains the signature V-shaped lace loops of the ’93 original.
Also, in news bound to please anyone who has struggled – or downright failed – to squeeze their foot into the EQT Support ADV due to its fixed one-piece collar, adidas have revised the staple EQT feature with an expandable tongue that unfurls to accommodate the larger footed among us.
Debut images show the shoe equipped with a monochromatic turquoise knit mesh upper – a colourway rumoured to be a women’s exclusive.
No release date for the adidas EQT Racing ADV has been announced, but word on the street is an August drop date is likely. We’ll keep you posted!
